Our first National Trust visit today will be The Courts Gardens, a garden we have visited at different times of the year but always a favourite. Described as a curious English country garden with garden rooms of different styles.
Then its a short ride to Great Chalfield Manor which is closed to the general public today, a 15th century manor house often used as a film location including Poldark, Wolf Hall as Austin Friars, the
home of Thomas Cromwell, Tess of the d'Urbervilles and The Other Boleyn
Girl. The house is viewed by guided tour where we will be split into 2 groups with time to wonder around the gardens that have a lovely romantic feel.
A cup of tea/coffee and cake is included in the tour at Great Chalfield
