Sunday
Morning departure to Pembroke and ferry crossing to Rosslare. After arriving in Rosslare its a short drive to Wexford and our hotel for the next 2 nights the nationally renowned 4* Ferrycarrig over looking the River Slaney. The hotel has won various awards for its food, hospitality and excellent leisure facilities.

Monday
After a good breakfast we enjoy the gardens & scenery of the area first visiting Mount Usher gardens, Monty Don says its one of his favourite gardens. Then to Powerscourt Gardens listed as one of the top gardens in Ireland. Afterwards we sit back and enjoy a scenic drive back to the hotel through the Wicklow Mountains National Park.
Tuesday
After breakfast we leave Ferrycarrig and Wexford. Our first stop today will be at New Ross to take a costumed guided tour on the famine ship Dumbrodie. An authentic reproduction of an 1840’s emigrant vessel. ‘The Dunbrody’ provides a unique insight into the bravery and
fortitude with which Irish people faced up to a desperate situation during this period.
Next will be a visit to The House of Waterford Crystal & a guided tour taking in all apsects of the production of Waterford Crystal including crystal blowing, mould making, quality inspection & finising. Crystal cutting, sculpting & engraving. After a chance to look around the retail store which showcases the largest display of Waterford Crystal in the world, have a look at the Exhibition & Crystal Showcase and World Sports Trophy Display.
We make our way to our hotel for the next two nights the 4* Hotel Kilkenny in Kilkenny with leisure facilities. Hotel Kilkenny is known for its welcoming of guests and good local produce meals. www.hotelkilkenny.ie
We hope there will be time for you to make any optional visits to one of the main attractions in Kilkenny - The Castle, Smithwick Brewery & road train tours all within the Medieval Mile. Kilkenny City as it is known has old-world charm with its medieval cobbled streets & buildings. The award winning Kytelers Inn est.1324 is one of the pubs where there is nightly live Irish music. There are many small independant shops & other small pubs around the town where groups also sing at night.
Wednesday
After breakfast we make our way to Kildare and The Irish Stud & Japanese Gardens. A guided tour will explain about this thoroughbred horse breeding facility. Time to walk & enjoy the Japanese Gardens, St Fiachra's Gardens & Horse Museum which are all on the same site. We then travel to Lullymore Heritage & Discovery to finish off our day in this area. We hope to gain a comprehensive insight into the Irish Peatlands and the people who have lived around them for millennia.

Thursday
Sadly its time to make our way home. We travel up to Dublin to have a couple of hours in the city, if time permits perhaps take in a tour of Guinness or Trinity College or just savour the city before catching the afternoon ferry to Holyhead & home. Please note we will not arrive back until very late evening.
