NATIONAL TRUST SUSSEX

Morning departure with coffee stop enroute to Woolbeding Gardens a modern masterpiece with colour-themed garden rooms and a landscape gardens with  stunning views over the   River Rother.


Our overnight hotel is the Marriott Lingfield where you can make use of the leisure facilites before our 3 course dinner.
 
 
Friday
 
A chance to use the leisure facilities before a good breakfast to set us up for our second day.
Our first visit today will be to Sheffield Park Station at the Bluebell Railway to have a look around the station before we catch the 11.00  steam train for a 22 mile round trip between Sheffield Park & East Grinstead.
 
Then we will visit the National Trust Sheffield Park  influenced by Capability Brown & Humphrey Repton.  Four lakes form the heart of the  garden with paths circulating through the glades & wooded areas surrounding them. 
 
Finally a visit to the National Trust property Nymans.  Partially destroyed by fire in 1947 the ruins of a fairytale Gothic mansion remain.  One of the highlights of Nymans is its long herbaceous borders.
