Enjoy a day out after Christmas.
We plan, weather permitting to go up over the moors to visit Buckland Abbey where the Great Barn will still be decorated for Christmas. Time for a visit to the cafe if you have room for food after Christmas before a guided tour of the house which should last approx 1 - 1.5 hours.
It's then approx 40 minute ride to Saltram House where we should just see the gardens in daylight, before they become illuminated and take on a whole different aspect. The house, Orangery, Lime Avenue and some of the most loved trees will be lit.
The ground floor rooms of the house are lit & open and decorated on a Christmas theme.
Coach departs Forde Park
Newton Abbot 10.15 (tbc) with pickup Railway Station (park side).
Cost Coach & visit to Buckland Abbey with guided tour & visit to Saltram House.
