Highclere Castle 'Downton Abbey' Battle of the Proms'

Morning departure with stop for coffee and lunch before we arrive at Highclere Castle 'Downton Abbey' for the Spectacular Battle of the Proms for a  special occassion. 

The Castle provides a stunning backdrop to the evening's events.  
 
In addition to a full orchestral programme of sublime classical music, this unique open-air picnic concert features a carefully choreographed and highly emotive Spitfire aerial display, weather permitting, ‘Last Night of the Proms’ favourites with a stunning firework finale, over 200 live firing cannons, and mounted cavalry displays all set against the iconic backdrop of Highclere Castle.
Gates open at 16.00 with displays, warm up acts before the Musical Programme starts at 19.30 finishing approx 10.00 with the firework finale.
 

To Make your Battle Proms experience even more special we have reserved tables & chairs in the Concert Pavilion for our private use.  Although this is away from the stage, it is a covered area, you will also receive a programme and of course most importantly a flag to wave,we will provide drinks and wines -all included in the price.

You are welcome to venture in and out from this private patio area at any time - go further afield to enjoy the various highlights and delights of the Battle Proms  to get closer to the action and return to your reserved table and seat for a rest and drink at any point throughout the event but please note you are unable to take chairs from the Pavilion to the general arena.  
 
There will be food outlets, bar & coffee stands but you can bring a picnic with you.
 
We have been informed there is a walk  from where the coach can drop us off to the pavilion/arena.

After a good breakfast, check out.
 
We make our way for the day at Beaulieu.
 
There is more to Beaulieu than just the Motor Museum to explore, your ticket will let you visit the   Palace House, Grounds & Gardens, Secret Army Exhibtion, Beaulieu Abbey and  a chance to ride the Monorail & Veteran bus.
