A chance to look around the Transport Museum. This huge Museum is home to the world’s largest collection of British
road transport, and a visit whisks you away into a world of stories of
real people, real passions and real hope.
The Cathedral is within walking distance and is one of the world’s oldest religious-based centres
for reconciliation, reflecting the commitment made by Provost Howard in
1940 to work with others “to build a kinder, more Christ-child-like
world" Tickets for entry are charged until 16.00 unless visiting for prayer.
Our hotel is the Hilton Bromsgrove
Chance to use leisure facilities before dinner.
Tuesday
A morning visit and tour of Walsall Leather Museum.
Discover why Walsall became the British leather goods capital in this
fascinating working museum, housed in a restored leather factory.
For two hundred years Walsall people have been making some of the
world's finest saddles and leather goods. Walsall Leather Museum seeks
to celebrate this great tradition and reflect the achievements of the
leather craftsmen and women of Walsall.
Afterwards we travel to Castle Bromwich for the highlight of our break with a 3 hour Factory visit of Jaguar.
The Tour at Castle Bromwich offers an exclusive insight into the
creation of Jaguar cars. You will have a unique opportunity to witness the
entire production process from sheet metal to Jaguar car.
If you have ever wondered how a Jaguar is brought to life, you already
own a Jaguar or are considering buying one, here’s your chance to
experience the process from start to finish.
Jaguar’s Intelligent Aluminium Architecture is revolutionizing how we
create cars that are more agile and responsive. At Castle Bromwich you
will witness the world’s largest aluminium press, built to create
F-TYPE’s state-of-the-art unique, sleek, aerodynamic form. Eighty percent of a Jaguar XJ’s body is constructed by over a hundred
hi-tech robots working in perfect synchronisation. You will experience
the electrifying moment power pulses through a
Jaguar and the incredible sound its engine makes firing on all cylinders
for the first time.
