TRURO BY TRAIN

A day trip toTruro

We catch the 09.07 train which should arrive into Truro approx 11.00

The station is slightly out of town so please take your bus pass unless you want to walk. There are regular buses into town.

A chance to meet up with friends/family before Christmas or some Christmas shopping before the mad rush starts.  The Christmas Market should be on, so make the most of this offer. 

Our return is on the 15.39 which is 2nd class to Plymouth where  we have to change trains then its 1st class to Newton arriving approx 17.30. 

Although the 15.39 is not direct &  first class there is a first class lounge where you can wait  and get a drink and biscuit at Truro.   

This way it works out cheaper and more convenient timings. 

Cost of train  ticket £25.00 with Senior or Devon & Cornwall railcard

Please note the journey down is First Class on the return journey we have to change trains at Plymouth when we are in First Class.

There is a First Class lounge at Truro we can use.

These train tickets are fixed for the time stated and can't be changed.

You have to make your own way to/from town, bus passes accepted. If  booked with senior/Devon & Cornwall railcard please remember to take otherwise penalty can be occurred.
