Alnwick Castle has over 950 years of history to discover, and the origins of the Castle date back to the Norman period. Since 1309, its story has been intertwined with that of the Percy family, a family with a history as illustrious as the castle’s own. The second largest inhabited castle in the UK, Alnwick has served as a military outpost, a teaching college, a refuge for evacuees, a film set, and not least as a family home. Delve deeper into this extraordinary history and travel through the centuries of this living, evolving castle.

We also visit the famous Alnwick Gardens  (a separate attraction which is situated adjacent to the Castle)

See the Serpent, Rose, Ornamental Gardens and the Grand Cascade of

120 jets make up the half-hourly water displays that continues to amaze visitors. The Grand Cascade is the backbone of The Garden.
Then there is the famous Poison Garden enter at your own risk.

In the morning we will have mystery trip returning to the hotel for

an early dinner before we visit Kynren. Described as the UK's most spectacular open-air show. This live action show with the dramatic Bishop Auckland Castle in Durham providing the back drop the this spectacular  performance.

Two thousand years of history, myth and legend rush by in 90 minutes as we join young Arthur on his epic quest. Rebellions, wars, magic, majesty, celebration and heartache are vividly brought to ground-shaking life in a dazzling outdoor-theatre spectacular.
