KEW GARDENS & PALACE
+ BRISTOL BOTANIC GARDENS& MISERDEN GARDENS

We start the day with a visit to Bristol Botanic Gardens, the first new University botanic garden to be created in the UK for nearly 40 years. The 1.77 hectacre gardens have been designed to tell stories about plant evolution & is home to four core plant collections. Evolution, Mediterranean Climate, Regions Local Flora & Rare Native Plants Useful Plants.
There is a small cafe serving teas/coffee light refreshments.
Next on the agenda today is a visit to Miserden Gardens near Stroud in Glos. This garden is most probably best known for its two double mixed borders which have undergone a total replant in recent years.
They now have a small new tea room.

A full day at Kew Gardens. See the newly restored Temperate House. There is also The Palm House, Alpine House, Princess of Wales Conservatory, North Gallery with over 800 paintings by the Victorian artist Marianne North, Treetop Walk, The Hive - a sculpture of 170000 pieces of aluminium in a hive-like structure of latticework, triggered by the vibrations of honeybees in a hive at Kew, Kew Palace & Royal Kitchens, Great Broad Walk Border with over 30,000 plants & due to open in July The Great Pagoda.
