BICTON PARK

Before arriving at  Bicton Park we plan on stopping  at

Greendale Farm Shop/Cafe which proved a very popular stop earlier in the year.

Bicton Park Botanical  Gardens -  63 acres of Grade 1 listed gardens & parkland which includes an Italian garden, American & Stream garden, Mediterranean & Rose Garden, Fernery & Shell House, Hermitage Garden, Pinetum & Arboretum + Glasshouses.  Then  take a trip down memory lane at the Countryside Museum and see many restored artefacts and machinery of rural life from days gone by. 

Also to visit is the Reg Imray Motorcycle and Car Collection.

To add to your enjoyment of the day we have included a ride of about 1.5 miles on the Bicton Woodland Railway an 18-inch gauge railway which takes approx 25 minutes as it winds its way through the Pinetum,to Hermitage Station at the far end of the park then back along the banks of the Great Lake.

 

Coach departs Forde Park  09.30  followed by pickups Railway Station (park side) B&Q, Next Greenhill Way  & Ware Cross.
